About the Program
The Aga Khan Youth Sports board is focused on maturing resiliency within our youth to develop strong, confident, and capable youth.
Youth Club's mission is to enhance the unity and quality of life of youth aged 13-18 by conducting events and providing services balanced among the areas of education, social, cultural, sports, health, leadership, development, and community relations. Doing so effectively and efficiently, in collaboration with partnering institutions and in accordance with the principles and ethics of the Ismaili Constitution. Youth Clubs allow youth to interact in a casual environment fostering the creation of lifelong friendships and developing a sense of belonging within the community.
Youth Clubs works in collaboration with IVC and the Student MKs to ensure we optimize participation, attendance, and teamwork.
About the Role
  • Introduce fun and creative events both internal and external for the youth.
  • Plan and lead meetings with local youth leadership
  • Submit monthly proposals and evaluations on a timely basis
  • Send monthly emails to Jamatkhana leadership¬†
  • Track youth and young attendance at events
  • Assist with Joint Students Majalis and special projects
  • Assign roles and responsibilities to respective Youth Club exec
  • Assist with marketing and promoting monthly events.
  • Participate and represent your local Jamatkhana in the Youth Leadership Orientation in Septemeber 2020
  • Assist the new Youth Club Coordinators (at the end of your term) in the changeover process

About You
Ideal applicants will meet the following requirements:
  • Responsible youth who want to engage youth in various events and activities
  • Be willing to work with different teams (IVC and SMKs) to ensure maximum attendance
  • Past experiences with Ismaili or external community involvement are an asset, but not required
  • Willing to work within a team and independently
  • Looking to build strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Time Commitment
