About the Program
The Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board for Ontario is pleased to launch the inaugural Boy’s Mentorship program. This program aims to support boys and youth within our Jamat between the ages of 13-18. Mentorship will be fully virtual for the inaugural year and will consist of positive relationship building, academic or professional guidance, and provision of additional support. Mentorship will be provided to mentees in the forms of e-mentoring, team mentoring, and one-on-one. Throughout the year various events and workshops will be organized to motivate, inspire, and encourage the young people within their interests and passions. 
About the Role
The role of the Case Manager will be of an advocator responsible for ensuring the pairing of the mentors and mentees based on their interests, passions, and career/academic goals. The Case Manager will be the main point of contact for a specific region and be the Jamat Khana representative for the multiple Jamat Khane’s within their specific region. They will be responsible for building relationships and communication with Jamati and Student MKs. The East Sector Case Manager will be responsible for the following Jamat Khanas: Belleville, Oshawa, Peterborough, Pickering, and Scarborough.
About You
The Case Manager must be able to virtually connect with mentees and mentors within the East Sector.  They should have analytical and organization skills to assign and pair mentees and mentors. Assessing mentee and mentor physical and mental wellness, needs, preferences, and abilities, and developing plans to improve the pairing. Working with mentors and mentees, family and friend support networks, and health care professionals to share resources and opportunities to share with the program. Evaluating mentee and mentor progress periodically and making adjustments as needed to pairs during the term. Have limited experience with Microsoft Office products. Experience in working with youth is an asset. Applicants who are bilingual in any language other than English are particularly encouraged to apply.

  • 5 hours/week
