About the Program
Emotional well-being and social support for pregnant women is critical for a successful
pregnancy as well as the future well-being of the child. A series of sessions for
expectant mothers will empower and activate women to develop quality
mother-fetus/infant relationships, create a faith-based opportunity to connect with
peers, and establish an informal support system.
About the Role
The role of the facilitators is to support and facilitate the processes in the weekly
sessions, including:
● organizing sessions, preparing materials, preparing activities,facilitating
discussion, and following-up with parents. Facilitator Guidelines will be
provided for each weekly session.
● being a support to parents which includes following-up with parents,
providing support, and gathering and providing additional resources and
information to parents where possible.
● facilitators may refer parents to other resources and services in the
community
● facilitators are expected to provide support to each other and request
additional support as needed
About You
● Good communication and presentation skills
● Commitment and dedication to the position
● Able to work independently as well as part of a team
● Be prepared and organized for each session
● A background in healthcare or social services
● Able to attend initial training and attend team meeting (virtually)
Time Commitment
  • 4 hours/week
  • Starting immediately to 5 December 2020
