About the Program
The Settlement Portfolio is seeking a Citizenship Co-Lead to support and advance the objectives of the settlement portfolio’s work. One of its key aims is to achieve 100% citizenship for the eligible members of the Ismaili community. 

About the Role
  • Design national framework and regional strategies for the Settlement portfolio’s goal of  100% citizenship 
  • Identify barriers to citizenship for the newly arrived members and develop methods and strategies to overcome it.
  • Drive programming across all regions to create awareness on citizenship requirements and benefits derived from it.
  •  Support regional citizenship teams on implementing citizenship awareness sessions.
  • Expand the language and citizenship programming across all regions 
  • Create repository of internal and external resources and determine referral processes
  •  Contribute to the design and delivery of national digital programming for the citizenship project 
  • Apply project management best practices and ensure successful delivery of Settlement portfolio’s poverty prevention projects
  •  Evaluate project execution and improve accordingly 
  • Attend Full Session Meetings remotely and bi-weekly national settlement portfolio conference calls 
About You
·       Strong leadership, inter-personal, organizational and project management skills 
·       Experience with working with other institutions considered an asset
·       Fluency in English and a second language such as Urdu/Farsi
·       Familiarity with Canadian immigration procedures as asset 
·   Must be motivated, energetic and demonstrates a high-level of commitment 
·       Cultural sensitivity and awareness of  issues newcomers to Canada face in integration of economic, social, education, and cultural aspects of Canadian life
Time Commitment
  • 15 hours/week
  • 23 November 2020 to 22 November 2021
