About the Program
Due to a high volume of recently laid-off individuals coming off of CERB, the SEP Office is in need of qualified individuals who can assist with resume preparation, resume critiquing and resume customization to assist individuals with career transitions.
About the Role
The Skills and Employment Office is currently seeking up to 3 volunteers to assist with resume preparation, resume critiquing and resume customization to assist individuals with career transitions 
About You
Required Skills: 
  • 2-5 years resume writing experience in Canada
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume customization using key words
  • Excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills
  • Strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality policies
  • Appropriate telephone etiquette and experience asking follow-up questions in order to get additional details to create stronger resumes
  • Experience with multitasking and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality of work
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Certified Canadian Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), Certified Advanced Resume Writer (CARW), Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR), and/or Alberta Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP)
  • Experience working with low skills individuals, or newcomers and/or institutional experience 
Time Commitment
  • 5 hours/week
  • On-going position starting immediately
