About the Program
Program for Academic Coaching and Enrichment (PACE) – for students in grades 1-12, is currently a virtual Homework Help and Mentorship Program. The program offers support to students struggling with numeracy(Math) and literacy (English Language Arts). Coaches and Tutors work with students one on one (virtually) by running tutorial session throughout the week to ensure that students are getting the maximum support. This is also an opportunity for students to develop relationships with strong role models as mentors, and for parents to gain an understanding into their child's education as well as learn how to navigate the various school boards and make use of the materials and resources provided to them through those school boards.
About the Role
The Program for Academic Coaching and Enrichment (PACE) is looking for dedicated and passionate leaders to maintain and grow this grassroots program for the 2021-2022 academic year. This role will require between 2-4 hours/week of time and is flexible to YOUR schedule.
The duties include financial planning of the program including collection of fees, maintaining databases of student and tutor registrations/oaths/police checks as well as reporting to Regional and National council entities. Training will be provided and this role can begin as early as February 1st 2020 to ensure a successful transition between the current leaders and you as a new addition!
