About the Program
A Project Member is required to support the Institutional Development & Transformation (ID&T) Professional Leadership Development Sessions Team. This individual would work closely with the Professional Leadership Development Session Project Manager. A working relationships will also be established with members of other Council portfolios such as Communications and IT.   

The position is a key part of the Professional Leadership Development Sessions Team whose mandate is to implement the Institutional Development Model through large-scale professional development opportunities for Jamati leadership. The ultimate aim of the team is to support the development of leadership skills within the volunteer base including senior leadership volunteers.
About the Role
This role will be integral to the Professional Development Leadership as he/she will be a key member to implement the Leadership Development Sessions. Ideally, the Project Member will be familiar with the organization and delivery of online events, cultivating and stewarding relationships, working in a multi-stakeholder environment, and have a general understanding and familiarity of the various aspects of institutional activities.
About You
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with implementation of Virtual Professional Leadership Development Sessions for Council Leadership
    • 200-300 participants nationally
    • 3-4 sessions annually
  • Work with Professional Leadership Development Sessions team to identify:
    • Key topics for Professional Development Sessions for entire Senior Leadership (200-300 ppl)
    • Relevant Speakers/Presenters for virtual delivery
  • Conduct outreach to potential speakers within and outside of the Jamat
  • Cultivate and steward productive relationships with connectors and potential speakers (external or internal)
    • Work with Communications team to ensure all speakers have a good understanding of community, institutions, and objectives of sessions
  • Prepare marketing announcements for distribution to institutional leadership
  • Assist with day-of-event tasks including registration, event management, etc.
  • Assist with feedback collection from participants following events 
Position Requirements
  • Experience organizing online programs
  • Conducting outreach through email
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and with others and small group engagements
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to cultivate and steward relationships
Some institutional experience would be good to have but not mandatory. Experience with leadership development would be good to have but not mandatory.
Time Commitment
  • 3 hours/week
  • 1 April 2021 to 31 December 2021
