About the Program
This Adult Education (AE) Office through Adult Education Strategy aims to establish a sustainable, collaborative and open-minded education system that is anchored in best practice and offers an enabling learning environment that embraces the Jamat’s rich diversity and continually evolves through research and consultation with the Jamat. It aspires for murids to have access to quality education any time, any place and at any pace, and are inspired by their faith as a source of identity, connectedness, happiness and direction.
About the Role
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of the Adult Education (AE) Office to support the following functions: -
- Developing AE Religious Education curriculum encompassing all aspects of teaching, learning, assessment and programmatic implementation -
- Developing AE Curriculum Scope and Sequence framework
- Designing thematic/ sub thematic modules for Adult learners
- Creating and implementing robust processes to ensure all adult educators have a broad and comprehensive grasp of the rich diversity within the adult Jamat
- Designing and developing a thoughtful rollout plan of AE programming
- Implementing a blended approach to delivering AE
- Communicating a compelling value proposition for murids to engage in the learning opportunities
- Managing and leading a secure learning platform
- Designing the E-Learning Platform as the official source of all recorded and curated AE content
- Harvesting high-quality digital content from ITREBs around the world
- Organizing the content on the portal to provide holistic and rich learning experiences
- Providing the capability for learners to have access to designated experts
About You
- Bachelors, MA or PH.D in Education
- Minimum of 3 years experience in areas related to Adult Learning
- A fair degree of acquaintance with the content on Islam and the Ismaili tradition
- Familiarity with contemporary issues facing Muslim societies, and how these connect with the lines of enquiry followed in the curriculum
- Exposure to the social sciences and the humanities
- Experience of working with AKDN/Jamati Educational Institutions, particularly ITREB
- Familiarity and experience with using the e-learning platforms
- Language proficiency in Farsi, French
